Common questions

Something missing? Ask in the quote form and we'll answer.

How much do granite countertops cost?

Price depends on the stone, the edge profile, the number of cutouts, and your square footage. Because every kitchen is different, we quote from a measured layout. A free quote is the fastest way to get a real number.

How does payment work?

When you approve your quote, you pay 100% of the material and 50% of the labor up front. The other 50% of the labor is paid when the job is done.

Do you take small jobs?

Yes. No job too big or too small, from a single vanity top to a full kitchen.

How long does it take from measuring to installation?

Timing depends on the stone, the size of the job, and our current schedule. We'll give you a date when we quote, once your slab and layout are approved.

Does granite need to be sealed?

Yes. Granite is porous, so we seal it at installation. To check whether it needs resealing, put a few drops of water on the surface. If it darkens the stone after about ten minutes, it's time to reseal. Most kitchens need it about once a year.

Can you remove my old countertops?

Yes. We remove and haul away existing countertops as part of the job. Plumbing and electrical hookups for sinks and cooktops are reconnected by a plumber or electrician, and we can coordinate that with you.

What's the difference between granite and quartz?

Granite is natural stone, so every slab is unique and it handles everyday heat well. Quartz is engineered, more uniform in color, and doesn't need sealing. We're happy to show you both side by side.

How do I clean and care for granite?

Wipe with warm water and a few drops of mild dish soap. Avoid vinegar, lemon, and abrasive powders, which can dull the finish. Wipe up spills promptly and use trivets under very hot pans.
